The heron

The heron is a carnivore and a fish eater that eats fish and amphibians , but other animals such as insects and small mammals are also taken. The bird is a frequently seen species in shallow areas of city canals and polder ditches and in meadows; the heron is seen flying along canals, streams and near lakes; the breeding colonies are located in the middle of the city in tall trees or in completely remote forest areas.

Material properties of Corten steel

Our metal animals are made of weather-resistant corten steel, this material will, over time, get a characteristic rusty brown color due to the oxide layer that forms. This oxide layer protects the underlying material all year round. This way, this metal heron will be protected for years. Just like all other corten steel decorations that we supply, this metal heron is supplied in ''blank'' metal.
