The duck

The mallard is a common water bird, which can be found in many parks and ponds. The male, the drake, can be recognized by its striking green head and white neck band. It is also the only duck species with curled tail feathers. The female has a more camouflaged, mainly brown plumage. During the winter, pairs are formed, which can sometimes be fierce; not infrequently, the birds try to drown each other in order to eliminate rivals. Many ducks in parks are hybrids of mallards with all kinds of domesticated ducks.

Material properties of Corten steel

Our metal animals are made of weather-resistant corten steel, this material will, over time, get a characteristic rust-brown color due to the weather influences due to the oxide layer that forms. This oxide layer protects the underlying material all year round. This way, this metal duck remains protected for years. Just like all other corten steel decorations that we supply, this metal dog is supplied in ''blank'' metal.
