The German Shorthaired Pointer

The German Shorthaired Pointer originates from the countries around the Mediterranean. There, this dog was used for hunting game and falconry. Via France, Spain and Flanders, this pointing hunting dog ended up at the German Princely Courts. In Germany, the initiative was taken in 1897 to create a breed standard. Hence the name German Shorthaired Pointer. The most important hunting characteristic is pointing the game. Nowadays, the German Shorthaired Pointer is used worldwide as an all-round hunting dog, but is also an active, pleasant, social house dog for many non-hunting people.

Material properties of Corten steel
